The story behind Coach Marcy.
Hi, I'm Marcy Sanchez
Mother, entrepreneur, coach.
I became a mother at 14. In many ways my daughter Lola and I grew up together.
We have always had an open relationship. She came to me about boys, friendships, fashion and growing up. Because I had been a teenager myself not long before, I could relate.
Soon she was telling her friends, "Talk to my mom. She gives great advice." They came to me because I listened without judging.
I recognized that my experiences and my words could help people. When I found out life coaching was a real profession, I went after my certification right away and began building Coach Marcy.
I am a certified life coach, trained through the Certified Life Coach Institute in Orange County. I have also spent years as a mother and an entrepreneur, and I have learned that understanding people, and seeing life from more than one side, can change everything.
I spent my life chasing money, only to find that what I was really chasing was freedom.
Becoming a mother so young taught me responsibility and independence early. I became disciplined and resourceful, and I kept looking for ways to build a better life. Building businesses became a big part of my journey, and so did navigating relationships and learning through hard seasons.
Along the way I learned that strength can look like discipline and determination. It can also look like patience, compassion, and knowing when to let go.
What I'd tell you at any age
You don't have to live by someone else's definition of success
You can question what you were told you should want. You can give yourself grace. And you can choose your own path.
I am proud of the wisdom I have earned and of how I show up for people. I am disciplined, fiercely loyal, and I will go out of my way to help. I am also proud that I learned to value freedom and compassion right next to achievement.
Away from sessions, I am still building. My other ventures include Omni Direct. But this space is about you and about Coach Marcy.
